Stand With Ukraine
Mayor of Mid and East Antrim, Cllr William McCaughey:
“I have been horrified by the scenes from the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
“It is heartbreaking to see the fear and panic on the faces of children and all those caught up in this hideous attack, and the thoughts and prayers of the people of Mid and East Antrim are with each and every one of them at this time.
“I commend all those throughout the international community who continue to support the Ukrainian people in their hour of need, and that appreciation extends to volunteers from throughout our Borough.
“While many Ukrainians are steadfastly committed to putting their own lives on the line to defend their country, there are those who have no option other than to seek sanctuary in neighbouring countries.
“Thank you.”

Ukraine Support Organisations
Council is collating information about the support that community and voluntary organisations and churches and faith based groups can provide to refugees to welcome them and help them to settle for as long as they need to stay in the Mid & East Antrim area, as well as support for sponsors.
If your organisation can provide support to Ukrainian refugees or their sponsors please register your details below. Please email us at: enquiries@midandeastantrim.gov.uk if you have any queries.
Please note this is not an appeal for money or an offer of funding – offers of community support are entirely voluntary.
Can individuals register?
We can only accept offers of community support from constituted or recognised organisations through this platform.
If you are an individual wishing to volunteer you should:
Find an established organisation and check if you can volunteer through them, or engage with your local Volunteer Centre.
Follow any vetted or safeguarding procedures put in place by the organisation.
