Our LAG Board is the executive group charged with the assessment and delivery of the Rural Development Programme funding.
Its role is to:
- Implement the programme
- Decide on applications
- Ensure that the profile of the programme is high
- Deliver our agreed strategic aim
The Board operates on a voluntary basis and is made up of elected members and social partners from the business, farming, community and voluntary sectors.

Our wider LAG is a community of people with an interest in the local area. The wider LAG’s role is to guide the overall strategy and progress of the programme. The wider LAG may also be involved in assessment panels, thematic groups, networking and so on.
A recruitment process for the wider LAG was carried out from October to December 2014. 89 members have been recruited; each of whom works, lives or has a demonstrable interest in the Mid and East Antrim area.
Membership of the Wider LAG is now closed but will reopen at a future date. This will be advertised via our website and in the local press. Alternatively you can contact us to register your interest.

|Andrew McAlister - Investment and Funding Delivery Manager|
|Andrew has strategic and operation responsibility for the Rural Development Programme. He oversees the programmes delivery and implementation.||

|Pat Mulvenna - Investment & Funding Development Manager|
|Pat's role is to identify external opportunities for the various departments within Council and to assist with writing applications, identifying appropriate transnational partners and managing relationships with funding and investment organisations.||

|Jennifer Harris - Project Officer|
|As Projects Officer Jennifer is the first point of contact for any queries about the Rural Development Programme. She will help you establish whether you qualify for funding and will talk you through the application process. Once projects are up and running Jennifer will be on hand to help you until successful completion.||

|Janice Cooper - Communication & Projects Officer|
|Janice's role involves providing a communication, networking and public relations service to the Rural Development Programme. She is tasked with increasing and promoting the programme through producing press releases, newsletters, leaflets, maintaining the programme website and organising events.||

|Nicola Murray - Claims & Monitoring Officer|
|Nicola advises applicants regarding the procurement & public tender process according to the Rural Development operational rules. She processes claims for payment and carry's out regular monitoring of objectives & targets for projects.||

|Margaret Graham - Administration & Monitoring Support Officer|
|Margaret provides administration support to the Rural Development Programme through organising & facilitating meetings and other rural development events. She also deals with queries from potential applicants.||
