The Mid and East Antrim LAG Board and Staff

Our LAG Board is the executive group charged with the assessment and delivery of the Rural Development Programme funding.

Its role is to:

  • Implement the programme
  • Decide on applications
  • Ensure that the profile of the programme is high
  • Deliver our agreed strategic aim

The Board operates on a voluntary basis and is made up of elected members and social partners from the business, farming, community and voluntary sectors.

Wider LAG

Our wider LAG is a community of people with an interest in the local area. The wider LAG’s role is to guide the overall strategy and progress of the programme. The wider LAG may also be involved in assessment panels, thematic groups, networking and so on.

There are currently 15 wider LAG members; each of whom works, lives or has a demonstrable interest in the Mid and East Antrim area.

Membership of the Wider LAG is ongoing throughout the programme. This will be advertised via our website and in the local press.  Alternatively you can contact us to register your interest.

She is tasked with increasing and promoting the programme through producing press releases, newsletters, leaflets, maintaining the programme website and organising events.

Marie Glass Marie advises applicants regarding the procurement and public tender process according to the Rural Development operational rules. She processes claims for payment and carry's out regular monitoring of objectives and targets for projects.

Ashley Ritchie - Finanace Manager
Ashley Ritchie As Finance Manager Ashley is tasked with dealing with all the finances of the Rural Development Programme. This involves verifying grant claims, setting budgets and providing financial analysis as and when required. She also deals with all programme procurement.
