Company Engagement Opportunities
School visits to local companies
Council and the Manufacturing Task Force endeavour to create links with schools and local employers in the Borough to showcase career opportunities to pupils. School visits to local employers are both fun and informative. Most visits will take 2-3 hours and can be facilitated in the morning or afternoon. Visits can also be tailored to best suit your schedule.
Take a look at some of the fun school engagement events we have hosted in the past on the 2022 activities page.

Company visits to schools
Are you interested in learning more about the employers and exciting career opportunities in the Borough but may not have the time to visit the companies?
If so, we can arrange for companies to visit the school, meeting with various Year groups as required, with tailored content that is relevant to the students. This can take the form of presentations or engaging workshops, which can be facilitated in the form of morning or afternoon sessions, over lunchtime or after school.
The content and delivery of each school visit will be agreed on an individual basis. You may also wish to invite neighbouring schools along to your sessions with possible reciprocal visits allowing schools to receive visits from a wide variety of companies.
We are currently working with the following companies in relation to school visits:
- Kilwaughter Minerals Ltd., Larne
- Ryobi Aluminium Casting (UK) Ltd., Carrickfergus
- IPC Mouldings, Carrickfergus
- Terumo Blood and Cell Technologies, Larne
- Yelo, Carrickfergus
- Caterpillar, Larne
- Wright Bus, Ballymena
- GES Group, Ballymena
- Clarke, Ballymena
