I know the entire Council will join me in paying tribute to her, who for almost a century, has been part of our lives, inspired the world, aroused its respect and affection, and for whose service and life we give our most profound thanks.
The Queen’s loss will be mourned in our community, across the nation and around the entire world.

|Mayor of Mid & East Antrim Borough Council, Alderman Noel Williams|
I was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II. She will always be remembered for a life of dedicated duty and selfless service to her country and the Commonwealth.
It was my greatest honour to attend Buckingham Palace and to receive my MBE from Her Majesty.
It is important to remember that she was also a Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother and I extend my sincere sympathy to the entire Royal Family.
Alderman Audrey Wales MBE
My thoughts and prayers are with The Royal Family following the sad passing of HRH Queen Elizabeth II. Many of us in the Borough will know no other way of life other than HRH as our Sovereign & Head of State.
During her historical 70 year Reign she displayed dedication, leadership, stability and compassion. We as a Nation who mourn can draw comfort from The Queens resolute Christian faith and the fact that she is now reunited with her husband, Prince Philip.
The Queens passing marks the end of the 2nd Elizabethan age, as we move into a new era under King Charles III. God Save The Queen, Long Live The King.
|Councillor Andrew Wilson|
