Council Cemetery Management Rules and Regulations Booklet
We currently own and/or manage 28 cemeteries and Council inherited three different Cemetery Management Rules and Regulations from each of the three legacy Councils.
We are consolidating these and developing a single Cemetery Management Rules and Regulations booklet to ensure consistency of service across the Borough going forward.
We would appreciate your comments on the consultation on or before 17 February 2017.
Everyone with an interest is urged to view the proposed draft document and respond with comments.
- The purpose of this draft Management Rules and Regulations booklet is to provide members of the public and other stakeholders with guidance on arranging a burial within Council cemeteries throughout the Borough;
- This draft booklet also provides information on the restrictions and conditions that apply when purchasing exclusive rights of burial and clarifies the rights and responsibilities in relation to our cemeteries;
- In addition, this draft booklet also outlines how we carry out our obligations under the law and makes sure we provide a consistent high level of service.
