Performance Improvement Plan 2021-22 Consultation


The Local Government Act (Northern Ireland) 2014 requires councils to set one or more improvement objectives annually.  Our Performance Improvement Plan sets out a number of Improvement Objectives for the upcoming financial year.  It explains what we hope to achieve, how we plan to do it and how our citizens will be better off as a result.  The Performance Improvement Plan also includes statutory indicators as set out by the Department for Communities.

For 2021/22 Council is proposing six Improvement Objectives and we would like to hear your views on them.

Many thanks to everyone who has taken the time to complete the survey on our draft Performance Improvement Plan for 2021/22.  We really appreciate the views of our MEA stakeholders.

The initial closing date for the consultation was Friday 21 May 2021. Performance Improvement closed this consulation on Wednesday 19 May 2021.

At the end of the consultation period, we will review the proposed improvement objectives in light of your feedback and will also take the impact of COVID-19 into account.  The effects of the pandemic may lead to a shift in Council’s priorities for service delivery during 2021/22 and it is likely that we will need to revise our Performance Improvement Plan as a result.
