Community Festivals Fund
The Community Festivals Fund opened on Monday 13 March 2017 for applications for festivals taking place before 31 March 2018.
We would particularly welcome applications for festivals which promote equality, target poverty and social exclusion and encourage cultural expression.
The closing date for applications is 12pm Friday 28 April 2017.
The Community Festivals Fund is a competitive scheme and festival organisers will be required to demonstrate how their festival meets the assessment criteria. There is no guarantee that successful applicants will receive the amount applied for.
Levels of Financial Support
- Single Day Festivals - 100% funding up to £1,500
Festivals must last more than 3 hours and must consist of more than one element. For example BBQ, children’s entertainment, music etc.
- Multi-day Festivals - 100% funding up to £2,000
Festival activities must take place over two or more consecutive days and have a common theme. Each day must contain activities lasting more than 3 hours per day.

Before completing an application, applicants should make sure that they are eligible to apply and have read the Community Festivals Fund Guidance Notes in full.
Applications can be made online using the Council's Funding Hub. Manual applications can be requested by contacting the Grants Office on the contact details below and may be returned to any of the following Council buildings:
- Ballymena – Ardeevin, 80 Galgorm Road, Ballymena, BT42 1AB
- Larne – Smiley Buildings, Victoria Road, Larne, BT40 1RU
- Carrickfergus – Museum & Civic Centre, 11 Antrim Street, Carrickfergus, BT38 7DG
