Carrickfergus Landings: Conquest & Commerce
This talk event complements the exhibition ‘Carrickfergus Landings: Conquest and Commerce’ featuring a handcrafted model of HMY Mary, which brought King William to Carrickfergus in 1690. With the help of local historians David Hume and Helen Rankin, we will be exploring Carrickfergus as a place of arrivals, looking at the town’s military significance and development of its historic harbour.
