Play Park Investment Programme

Mid and East Antrim Borough Council are delighted to announce that work will be commencing for the refurbishment of Ahoghill Play Park, Martinstown Play Park, Woodburn Play Park, Carrickfergus, Wilson Crescent Play Park, Ballymena and Ferris Play Park, Larne.

Ahoghill Play Park
We are delighted to announce that work will soon commence on the refurbishment of Ahoghill Play Park week commencing 17 April 2023.
The designs of the play park was developed following a community consultation process which helped shape this fantastic provision for children of all abilities.
Funding secured by Council through DAERA/Dept for Communities Small Settlement Fund has enabled this investment in our rural community.
Martinstown Play Park
We are delighted to announce that work commenced on the refurbishment of Martinstown Play Park on 27 March 2023.
The designs of the play park was developed following a community consultation process which helped shape this fantastic provision for children of all abilities.

Ferris Park Play Park, Larne
We are delighted to announce that work has begun on the refurbishment of Ferris Park Play Park in Larne.
The appointed contractor - Haffey’s Sports Grounds - took control of the site on Monday 20 February 2023.
The design of the fantastic new Play Park was developed following a community consultation process, which helped shape this new and modern provision for children of all abilities.
Woodburn Play Park, Carrickfergus
The appointed contractor, Haffey’s Sports Grounds, will take control of the site on Monday 30 January 2023.

Wilson Crescent Play Park, Ballymena

The design of the new play park was developed following a community consultation process which helped shape this fantastic provision for children of all abilities.
The refurbishment of this park is funded by Council with a contribution of £27,000 through the Department for Communities’ Access and Inclusion Fund which is supporting this project through the purchase of accessible and inclusive equipment.
