World War II army veteran, Sergeant George Horner, has said it is a huge honour to be awarded the Freedom of the Borough by Mid and East Antrim Borough Council.

The Gobbins reopening marks the return of one of Northern Ireland’s most iconic coastal attractions for the new season.

Business, community and voluntary sector representatives attended this enjoyable evening in aid of Mayor Minford’s chosen charities for the year – Chest Heart & Stroke and Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice raising over £5,000.

The Mid and East Antrim PEACEPLUS Partnership has launched its Local Action Plan, setting out how £5,085,224 will develop more inclusive communities.
