What’s On Events Guide - Winter 2019

Tuesday 1 October 2019 to Tuesday 31 March 2020
Across Mid & East Antrim

As the temperature drops and the dark nights draw in, Mid and East Antrim lights up with an exciting programme of events. Autumn welcomes pumpkin season and of course Halloween, attracting some spooky outdoor happenings at both Carnfunnock and People’s Park, for all the family to enjoy.

November heralds the start of winter and for those of you preferring the warmth indoors, why not visit our museums and peruse a local exhibition or fire your little one’s imagination and creativity at Super Saturdays held in Carrickfergus Museum. As the festive period begins to sparkle, we have Christmas Switch-ons taking place in our towns and villages. For some old-fashioned cheer, bring the family along and take in the sights and sounds of Whitehead’s annual Victorian Street Fair.

Start 2020 with a trip to one of our theatres for performances featuring many well-known personalities and groups.

For those with New Year’s resolutions you can explore the many fitness options offered or discover spaces and places in the borough  you might not normally have ventured, through  our Exploring our  Space programme.

Whether you take in an historical exhibition and learn about our past or spend some time in one  of our scenic parks, there is something for everyone.

Get out and explore what Mid and East Antrim has to offer!
