Double the laughs as Comedy of Errors leads Shakespeare in the Park

Shakespeare in the Park makes a welcome return to the intimate and enchanting location of Shaftesbury Park in Carrickfergus on Tuesday 18 July.

The summer performance of one of the bard’s most boisterous plays, The Comedy of Errors, will see the critically acclaimed theatre company Illyria take to the stage.

The comedy tells the story of two sets of identical twins, separated at birth, who unknowingly end up in the same city and through a series of chance meetings, their lives and sanity begin to unravel. 

The performance is part of Mid and East Antrim Borough Council’s Love Parks Week initiative which runs from Friday 14 to Sunday 23 July 2017.

Love Parks Week is a UK wide initiative where millions of people are inspired to visit an event at a beautiful park or green space.  

£3 per ticket, available from Carrickfergus Visitor Information Centre, or by calling T: 028 9335 8222, E: events@midandeastantrim.gov.uk. Gates open at 6.30pm with the performance at 7.30pm. 

As this is an outdoor event, we advise that patrons dress appropriately for the weather conditions, rain or shine. Picnics and low-backed seating will be permitted.
