To kick things off, there will be a fabulous Artisan Market in the Market Place on Friday 2 December, 3pm – 7pm.

Bursting full of delicious treats, perfect presents and unique offerings – the market has everything you need this festive season.

With seasonal live music provided by Uplift Performing Arts and a special visit from Santa Claus in the pop-up shop in the DeCourcy Centre from 3pm - 7pm – it’s the perfect way to start your seasonal celebrations.

The Artisan Market will also be open on Saturday 3 December, 11am – 3pm, where there will be carefully selected, delicious artisan food and unique, locally produced arts and crafts.

Uplift Performing Arts will once again take to the stage and to top it all off, the Big Telly Theatre Company will be in the pop-up shop in the DeCourcy Centre from 11am – 3pm with their fantastic ‘Elf Factory Experience’ - for what is sure to be a fun, interactive experience for all ages. (No booking required).

In addition, there will also be festive performances taking place in Carrickfergus throughout December.

The Brass and Silver Band concerts will entertain shoppers in the town centre from 2-3pm on 3, 10 and 17 December (weather dependent).

And while you’re in town, remember to support local businesses and shop local during this critical trading period for independent businesses and the high street.

Mayor of Mid and East Antrim, Alderman Noel Williams, said: “Carrickfergus is the ideal place to shop, socialise and tick off the other seasonal essentials on your list.

“It's always a key period for shops and businesses and, this year more than ever, they need us all to show them our support by shopping locally and buying the gifts, food and treats that make Christmas special.”
