Who we are
We are Mid and East Antrim Borough Council, and we are running PEACEPLUS activities in your area.

Why we are collecting your information
We collect your information so we can:
- Organise and run activities
- Know how many people take part
- Understand how well the project is working
- Show that the project is making a positive difference
Sometimes we may also:
- Take photos or videos during activities
- Share these (for example on our website or social media) to show what the project is doing
What information we collect
We may collect:
- Your name
- Your contact details (like phone or email)
- Your postcode
- Your age group
- Your religion
We may also ask some extra questions to help us understand who is taking part.
How we get your personal information
We get your information directly from you when you:
- Sign up to take part
- Complete a form
- Attend an activity
- Fill in a feedback survey
Photos and videos
- We may take photos or videos during activities
- If we want to use a photo where you can be clearly recognised, we will ask your permission first.
It is your choice, you can say yes or no.
This will not affect you being able to take part.
If you change your mind
- You can tell us at any time
- We will stop using your photo or video in the future
- Anything used before you changed your mind will stay in use
Why we are allowed to use your information
We only use your information when the law says we can.
We use your information because:
- We are carrying out work that helps the community (this is called a public task)
For photos where you can be identified:
- We will only use them if you give us permission (consent)
Who we share your information with
We may share your information with:
- Other teams within Mid and East Antrim Council to help manage the project
- Organisations that will be helping to deliver activities

When we share your information for reporting, it will be:
- Grouped together
- Anonymous (so no one can identify you)
How we keep your information safe
We keep your information secure by:
- Storing it safely on Council systems
- Controlling who can access it
- Following strict data protection rules
We only keep your information for as long as we need it.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Ask what information we hold about you
- Ask us to fix incorrect information
- Ask us to delete your information
- Ask us to stop using your information in some situations
- Change your mind if you gave consent for photos
