  • T6015 - ICT SERVICES SLOPE INSTABILITY REPAIRS AT CRANNY FALLS

    The project is for the provision of an Integrated Consultancy Team (ICT) who must work with the Capital Works Manager, Capital Works Team or his designate to ensure all duties required under this appointment are being carried out to the satisfaction of the Employer.

    The project shall include:

    • The stabilisation, or reinstallation of handrail posts over approximately 70% of the route
      • If soil conditions re too poor for replacement or repair, post is to be concreted to the ground or otherwise fixed under recommendation of suitably experienced geotechnical engineer. 
    • Replacement of missing parapet slats at the 2nd bridge
    • Replacement of deteriorated wooden retaining wall.
    • Address the slope instability along the route through the use of various engineering methods such has but not limited to:
      • Tree felling and removal
      • Rock Anchoring
      • Geotextiles
      • Terracing
  • T6014 - PLANNING & MANAGEMENT OF CARRICKFERGUS AND LARNE HALLOWEEN EVENTS 2024

    Tenders are invited for the supply of the event planning and management services for two public Halloween events.

    Mid & East Antrim Borough Council is seeking to stage two separate events in Carrickfergus and Larne for the 2024 Halloween season. There is currently a large Council event in Ballymena in the same period, so Council wishes to appoint an external contractor to plan and manage these other events.

    Council requires an experienced, specialist Professional Event Management Company to design, arrange, manage and implement all the necessary services and infrastructure to provide two stand-alone events for Carrickfergus and Larne Halloween 2024. They are all-ages events with a Halloween theme.
    The events will take place on the following dates:

    • Larne – Tuesday 29 October 2024
    • Carrickfergus – Thursday 31 October 2024
  • T612/CA Café/Catering Franchise for Gobbins Visitor Centre

    Mid and East Antrim Council seeks tenderers for the provision of catering service from a competent experienced Services Provider with a professional approach and proven track record for the Catering Lease at The Gobbins Visitor Centre in Islandmagee, Larne. On request, catering services must also be provided onsite to facilitate community centre bookings and meeting room bookings. 

    The Gobbins lies at the Southern end of the Causeway Coastal Route and is known as the most dramatic coastal walk in Europe. Already an established visitor attraction, the Gobbins experience offers unparalleled access to the Antrim coastline, immersing visitors in a coastal environment while connecting them to the local landscape. The Gobbins and the Causeway Coastal Route are marketed to an international audience with 93% of visitors in 2023/24 coming from outside Northern Ireland.

  • T608 – SUPPLY AND DELIVERY AND INSTALLATION OF ARTIFICIAL CHRISTMAS TREES

    Tenders are invited from suitably qualified and experienced suppliers for the supply of three Artificial Christmas Trees, pre-dressed with lights approximately 9 – 10 metres in height, to be used in the following locations:

    • Market Place Carrickfergus;
    • Broadway Larne; and
    • The Braid Theatre Ballymena.

    The trees will be pre lit with energy efficient lighting, effective in revitalising the three main urban centres of Mid and East Antrim Borough Council area namely Ballymena, Carrickfergus and Larne, Northern Ireland.

    The tender will also include the first year of installation, take down and transport to Council’s storage facilities at Sentry Hill, 37 Old Ballymoney Road, Ballymena, BT43 6NE.

    The artificial trees will be procured by Council in summer 2024. The successful supplier will install the artificial trees in November 2024, in time for the towns’ main switch on events.

  • T610/CA ICT SERVICES FOR BALLYMENA TOWN CENTRE MULTI-STOREY CARPARK REFURBISHMENT

    The Client invites tenders to provide the service for an ICT in relation to the refurbishment of Ballymena Town Centre multi-storey car park.

    The tender is for the provision of an Integrated Consultancy Team (ICT) who must work with the Capital Works Manager, Capital Works Team or his designate to ensure all duties required under this appointment are being carried out to the satisfaction of the Employer.

    The Client requires consultancy assistance to deliver a refurbishment of an existing multi-storey car park, as set out in PSC Scope Part A – Overarching Requirements under RIBA Stage 2-6.

  • T600/CA ICT SERVICES FOR NEW 3G PITCH ROLL OUT AT SHOWGROUNDS

    The Client invites tenders to provide the service for an ICT in relation to new 3G pitch rollout at Ballymena showgrounds for RIBA stages 2-6.

    The project is for the provision of an Integrated Consultancy Team (ICT) who must work with the Capital Works Manager, Capital Works Team or his designate to ensure all duties required under this appointment are being carried out to the satisfaction of the Employer.

    The project shall be responsible for the design and project management of the construction of a new enclosed 3G Pitches with associated drainage and floodlighting at Ballymena showgrounds.
    The works shall include the following:

    • The design of 4Nr. fully enclosed 3G pitches. The 3G carpet depth to be approved for soccer use, the 4nr, pitches to be a mix of 5 aside and 7 aside facilities.
    • Provision of a modular storage area
    • The appointed ICT should develop designs and cost associated with a dual fibre carpet (a combination of monofilament and fibrillated fibres) and a more sustainable infill material option as directed by the EU, microplastics are to be banned in synthetic pitches from September 2031. The Council will choose the most cost-effective design.
    • All drainage is to be jetted and CCTV to ensure good working condition. Any failing drainage to be replaced.
    • New approved shockpads, 3G surface & infill
    • New external Fencing & gates
    • Contractor 3-month maintenance period from date handover.
    • New floodlighting for each 5aside / 7 aside pitch that can be controlled independently.

    Provision for bins, signage, boot cleaning & goal equipment.

    The Tenderer will provide a comprehensive collection, treatment, and onward sale arrangements for a range of dry recyclable materials, which must include as a minimum at the commencement of the contract: paper; cardboard; metal tins and cans; plastic bottles, tubs, trays and pots; textiles; tetrapak®; glass bottles and jars and aluminium foil. 

    The contract is for approximately 46,640 dwellings in the Ballymena and Carrickfergus areas.
