    Mid and East Antrim Borough Council (M&EA) is requesting expressions of interest for a service to provide end to end delivery (i.e. identifying location, designing, costing, supplying and installing) of a number Green Walls across the towns of Ballymena, Larne and Carrickfergus. The Green Walls can be either living (i.e. composed of real plants) or synthetic (i.e. composed of fake plants), and either fixed or mobile / modular.

    Under the terms of the Contract, the Mid and East Antrim Borough Council invites tenders to carry out the installation of a treated leachate discharge pipe at Ballymacvea Landfill Site. The works shall comprise clearance of vegetation, installation of a drainage line, construction of a headwall at the discharge point and installation of a duct under Island Road including reinstatement.

    Mid and East Antrim Borough Council are seeking a Contractor for the construction of a new toilet block in Larne Town Park, access from the Glenarm Road.

    The proposed development will include the following:

    • Construction of toilet block;
    • Utilities connections and associated applications;
    • Drainage and associated ground works / civils work;
    • Installation of white goods, including equipment purchased by the Council to fulfil the need for a ‘Changing Places’ facility;
    • Demolition and site clearance of existing (nearby) facilities;

    Mid and East Antrim Borough Council are proposing to develop a new Waste Transfer Station and Household Waste Recycling Centre adjacent to the existing Sullatober Depot in Carrickfergus. The purpose of the development is to allow for a facility for the tipping and bulking of household wastes prior to its loading into heavy goods vehicles for onward transfer to recycling or recovery facilities.

  • T317/CA Glenarm Marina Pontoons

    Status: Closed Closing Date: Wednesday 9 September 2020

    The Contract is for the installation of approximately 120 m of pedestrian pontoon within the harbour at the base of the existing rock armour on the South Revetment. The new pontoons are to be connected to the existing pontoon network to allow access to the shore via the current bridge. It is envisaged that the pontoons will be held in place by 5nr piles with 508mm diameter, 16mm thickness and steel grade S355, secured in the seabed. Utility points are to be fixed on the new pontoons to provide water and electricity supplies to the moored boats.

    It is envisaged that the contract period will be approximately 18 weeks, allowing for procurement of pontoons and piling, and for a site works period of approximately 4 weeks.
