    • Supervision and Maintenance of the Operation of the Leachate Treatment Plant

    The Contract is for the refurbishment of Council Play Parks as part of the 4th phase of the Council’s ‘out to play’ strategy; including:

    Clough Play Park, Clough – Including but not limited to; Full refurbishment of existing play park to include extension of existing play area, replacement play equipment, fencing and bitmac/wet pour. A low-level retaining wall will be required to accommodate the extended area.

    T527/SK Events Management Specialist For The Planning & Management Of Carrickfergus And Larne Halloween Events 2023

    Council requires an experienced, specialist Professional Event Management Company to design, arrange, manage and implement all the necessary services and infrastructure to provide two stand-alone events for Carrickfergus and Larne Halloween 2023. They are all-ages events with a Halloween theme.

    The events will take place on the following dates:

    • Carrickfergus - Tuesday 31 October

    The maximum budget available for this project is:

    • Larne - £19,000

  • T514/CA Legionella Control and Cleaning Services for all hot and cold water systems within Council

  • Provision of Specialist Consultancy Services

    Status: Closed Closing Date: Friday 18 August 2023

    Mid and East Antrim Borough Council (herein referred to as “Council”) require the services of a consultant to provide specialist advice in relation to the procurement of an operator for two council buildings and to co-manage the procurement exercise for this operator appointment. The buildings are the ECOS Business Hub and an Innovation and Cleantech Centre known as the i4C. The 3,000m2 ECOS Business Hub was opened in 2018 and is located in the refurbished Ecos Environmental Centre (built 2001). The 7,000m2 i4C is currently in development and is to be located at the site of the former St Patrick’s Barracks in Ballymena. It forms part of a wider regeneration project for this brownfield site and is programmed to open in August 2027.

  • T511/AD - Tender for Appointment of Contractor for Waveney Community Centre

    Status: Closed Closing Date: Monday 7 August 2023

    The Contract is for the construction of a new single-storey Community & Sports Facility at Waveney Playing Fields, Glendun Park, Ballymena, BT43 6ES. Existing facilities include 2no. playing fields and 1no. training area served by temporary Changing Facilities and area of hard standing utilised as Car Parking. The existing facilities will continue to be used for the duration of the Contract. The proposed building will be located to the East of the existing Car Park on a grass area that slopes gently from upwards from West to East.

     The building has 2 distinct elements, identified as Community and Changing, and may be constructed in 2 phases.The Community accommodation includes an Entrance Foyer, Office and Meeting Room (with moveable acoustic partition), Badminton Hall with associated storage, Kitchen, and Male / Female / Dis. WC toilets, Changing Places Facility, First Aid Room, CCTV Room, Bin Store and Plant Room. The Changing element contains 4no. Inclusive Changing Rooms (Sport NI standard), 2no. Referee Changing, Accessible Shower, Tea Station Area, Storage and Switch Room.The 2 elements are linked but can be used simultaneously and/or independently. External works include improvement works to the existing Car Park with new access points, kerbs and surfacing.

     The site is generally quite open, with an access road off Glendun Park shared with Waveney Youth Centre. A public footpath provides pedestrians access from Glendun Park to Cushendall Road – this route is to be maintained for the duration of the Contract. Construction is generally in architectural masonry with panel cladding to the upper parts of the external walls with a metal composite roof finish.

    The total construction period for both elements will be 12 months, with the Community element (Phase 1) being 7 months.
