Ballymena Town Hall in the spotlight this Christmas

Friday 30 November 2018

The Town Hall in Ballymena is featuring a fabulously festive light projection over December and into the New Year.

The Braid, Christmas 2018

Snowflakes, Christmas messages, Santa’s sleigh and candy cane will don the walls of the historic building as part of the St.Art project supported by the European Union’s PEACE IV Programme, managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB).

The lumiere is another addition to the town centre’s Christmas offerings. The Braid ‘present’ continues to dazzle alongside the amazing new lights around the town centre and Harmony Hub.

Mid and East Antrim Borough Council is offering a range of entertainment and events across the borough to please even the biggest Grinch this festive season.

To help with the rush, Mid and East Antrim Borough Council is only charging £1 for 5 hours of parking across all 60 of its car parks.

A fantastic array of mouth-watering artisan food and unique, locally produced arts and crafts will also be on offer at free pop-up Christmas markets across the borough, with Ballymena’s taking place at Broadway Avenue and Broughshane Street from 20-22 December.

Mid and East Antrim Borough Council has been awarded £3.1m funding through the PEACE IV Programme. Match-funding for this project has been provided by the Executive Office and the Department for Rural and Community Development in Ireland.
