Local Employability, Health and Wellbeing events

Thursday 23 April 2026

The MEA Labour Market Partnership (LMP) recently hosted an Employability, Health and Wellbeing event in Carrickfergus for individuals thinking about entering or re-entering the world of work, exploring new career paths or finding out what support is available to upskill or access employment.

The event brought together 21 local employers and support organisations to provide:

  • Employment opportunities
  • Career insights
  • Guidance on transitioning into a new role
  • Access to support services that can help you move forward

Funded by DfC, Labour Market Partnerships create targeted employment action plans for council areas, allowing for collaboration at local and regional level to support people towards and into work.

The next free Employability, Health and Wellbeing event will take place from 10am-12 noon on Thursday 28 May 2026 in Larne Town Hall.

Whether you're job seeking, upskilling or simply curious about what’s available, this event is designed to help you discover opportunities, make meaningful connections and thrive.

Mid and East Antrim LMP has a wide range of employability and skills programmes on offer including:

  • Medical Admin Academy
  • Greenworks
  • Housing Insights
  • Reignite 50+
  • Career Boost
