Theatre in the Park returns to Ballymena and Carrickfergus this summer!
Thursday 19 June 2025
The multi-award-winning Illyria Outdoor Theatre is set to return to Mid and East Antrim this August - with two fantastic performances of Jane Austen’s beloved Pride and Prejudice.

Illyria will be performing in the picturesque setting of Shaftesbury Park, Carrickfergus on Wednesday 20 August and in People’s Park, Ballymena on Thursday 21 August.
Bring your family or friends along to this heart-warming summer event in your local park. Following seven sell-out seasons of this sparkling adaptation, come along and celebrate Jane Austen’s 250th birthday in style.
The show will begin at 7.30pm. Gates will be open to ticketholders from 6.30pm with entertainment from the lively Third Carrickfergus Brass Band in Carrickfergus and Ballymena Ukelele Group at the Ballymena show. Arrive early to enjoy the music before the performance begins!
The two events provide an excellent opportunity to enjoy time outdoors with friends and family during the long summer evenings.
Visitors are encouraged to bring along a tasty picnic and rug or their own low-backed seating. This open-air show is suitable for all ages, though children must be supervised by an adult.
Please note, the performance will go ahead in all-weather so come prepared!
Tickets are on sale for £5.25 + booking fee and are available to purchase online now at https://thebraid.ticketsolve.com/ticketbooth/shows
