Please ensure you have checked your correct bin collection day before reporting a missed collection.
Council are currently reviewing the opening hours of its Household Recycling Centres (HRC's). Please complete this short questionnaire so we can ensure Council provides the most efficient service for rate payers.
Missed Bins Collections
Missed bin collections may happen due to:
- bad weather conditions
- vehicle breakdown
- as a result of road closures
Missed Black Bins
If a missed collection happens for any of the reasons listed above, bins will normally be collected within 24hrs, but no longer than 48hrs, weather permitting, from normal time of collection.
Should there be insufficient capacity then you can bring your recycling boxes to the Household Recycling Centres.
Missed Brown Bins
Missed organic brown bin collections must be reported within 24 hours from time of missed collection and will normally be collected within 24hrs, but no longer than 48hrs from normal time of collection (excluding December, January and February where capacity would allow them to wait until next collection day).
Missed Blue Bins
Missed blue bin collections must be reported within 24 hours from time of missed collection and will normally be collected within 24hrs, but no longer than 48hrs from normal time of collection.
Missed Kerbie Boxes
Both Ballymena and Carrickfergus area recycling boxes are emptied through Bryson Recycling who operate the policy that non-collections reported to the Contractor before noon shall be uplifted on the same day. Non-collections reported to the Contractor after noon shall be uplifted on the next working day. You should contact Bryson Recycling directly on T: 028 9084 8494.
