Following a Judicial Review quashing the adopted Belfast Metropolitan Area Plan 2015, the Carrickfergus Area Plan 2001 has reverted to being the statutory area plan for the Carrickfergus area, with draft BMAP (2004) held to be a material consideration in the determination of planning applications.
