MEActive Summer Programme

Mid and East Antrim’s MEActive team are providing a number of fun activity camps throughout the Borough.

Programmes will be delivered at several venues over the summer including our 3 leisure centres and some of our outdoor facilities.

As always they will be fun and packed with lots of activities for our young people to get involved in - all of which are led by qualified and professional teams of instructors.

MEActive Summer Schemes

During July and August a number of 5 day schemes will operate in Ballymena, Carrickfergus and Larne.

These schemes will operate between Monday and Friday and will be open to children aged between 6 and 12 years of age.

Please note that the cost is per 5 day scheme and spaces are limited.

MEAqua Summer Intensive Lessons

These lessons are for swimmers age 4 and above in all three Leisure Centres from 9.30am to 11.45am (approx).

Full schedule will be available once booking goes live.

Classes will be Beginner lessons (aged 4+), Improvers (levels 2 and 3), Advanced Improvers (level 4 and 5), Advanced (levels 6+) and Waterpolo (Levels 4+).

Our adapted bikes are available to book during June, July and August in Dixon Park, Larne and Shaftsbury Park, Carrickfergus.

To book an adapted bike at your chosen location, participants must fill out the relevant booking form, as well as the MEActive participant consent form.

  • Select 'Book Class'
  • Drop down to location (eg Amphitheatre applies to Carrick area programmes, Seven Towers applies to Ballymena area programmes and Larne applies to Larne are programmes)
  • Drop down the Sport/Activity to ‘Sports Development’
  • Click 'show Centres'
  • All available courses will be listed for the centre

Please note:

  • Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come first serve basis.
  • Please apply early to avoid disappointment.
  • Please ensure participants wear appropriate clothing for activities outdoors including footwear and you are advised to apply sun screen before arriving.
  • All activities are subject to revision, addition or cancellation should unforeseen circumstances arise, including weather conditions.
