The People’s Park
The People’s Park, Ballymena is a substantial urban park providing outdoor recreational facilities for local people and visitors.
Park Notice:
Please note that the Play Park in People's Park will be closed next week from Monday 16 February 2026 to allow contractors to carry out work on the play park surface.
The play park will reopen when the works are completed.
The rest of the park site; skate park, tennis courts and sensory area, will all remain open as normal including all access to walk through the park and toilets and car park open as normal.
The Peoples Park
Providing play equipment, tennis courts, outdoor gym equipment and gentle walks the site is well used by local people of all ages from dog walkers throughout the day to school children before and after school to families throughout the week – the People’s Park is certainly a place for people.
The provision of picnic areas throughout provides visitors with the option to stay a while and the ever-popular ice cream van makes for happy children throughout the summer months.

The tennis courts at People's Park are free to use and no booking is required - please bring your own equipment.
Please note that play is limited to 30mins during busy periods.
